Village set has quickly embraced this independent French restaurant with its easy-going decor, light-brown leather banquettes and not a pressed tablecloth in sight. The focus is on the food – the
likes of pan-fried Strasbourg duck liver on brioche toast with pancetta lardons and salad followed by smoked salmon niçoise, steak-frites or mackerel fillet with horseradish crème, seafood
croquette, fennel and beetroot, for example. As the restaurant’s name suggests you’re encouraged to match dishes with carefully selected, European bottled beers – although there’s a modest choice
of wines and you can also BYO for a corkage fee.
