Staples such as rogan josh or lamb biryani sit alongside signature dishes ranging from bhatura chana (deep-fried bread with tangy chickpeas) to tikka chasni (chicken cooked with tomatoes and mango chutney). Seafood is also a strong suit, with fresh consignments delivered daily from MacCallum’s of Troon – so look for tandoori salmon, Malabar-style mussels in a seafood broth or a Bengali dish of monkfish simmered in yoghurt with mustard, tomato and green chilli. Banqueting-style tasting menus are excellent value, and the drinks list runs to delicately spiced St Mungo’s ale (brewed in Glasgow). Takeaways and home delivery too.
