With its capacious chairs, roaring fire and quiet corners, this eccentrically attired cocktail lounge at the Zetter Townhouse Hotel has a hint of the private members’ club about it. But that’s
where the comparison ends, because the interior is essentially an absolutely fabulous riot of tasselled lamps, animal figurines and twisted columns – imagine La Braderie flea market meets Hearst
Castle. Bric-à-brac has never looked so chic. ZTH also introduces mixology maestro Tony Conigliaro to the Zetter family, and the cocktails alone are reason enough to visit: milk Collins and
rose-petal gimlet, for example, show off his homemade cordials, aromatics and bitters in elegant form. Brunch and an all-day menu of small eats and supper bowls come courtesy of the Zetter’s Bruno
Loubet – try the burger in a truffled butter bun or a serving of beef daube.
