This informal, wine-focused restaurant and bar was the final addition to the Vinopolis complex more than a decade ago. Little has changed – apart from the upstairs mezzanine, which has seen the
arrival of more slouchy sofas for those who fancy some leisurely sipping while nibbling on mezze platters (you can also sit down to proper meals of, say, bresaola with rocket and parmesan followed
by seafood tagliatelle). The all-embracing global wine list runs to more than 200 bottles from every conceivable vinous region (however small), so you might find yourself comparing the merits of a
Canadian Chardonnay, a Slovakian Muscat or even a promising tipple from England’s ever-growing vineyards. Tasting notes are to-the-point, and there are plenty of selections by the glass if more
than one bottle ends up taking your fancy.
