The arrival of the excellent Tonic completes the renaissance of the Chapel Bar quarter in Nottingham’s city centre. The venue comprises a daytime deli at ground level, a large bar above, & a restaurant (with huge cinematic art projection) & lounge bar on the top floor. In the restaurant the food is predominantly modern British with a few Med & Asian twists, starters taking in chicken liver parfait, toasted brioche & Tonic chutney, while mains range from braised blade of beef, button mushrooms, bacon, shallots & mash to baked butternut squash, creamed forest mushrooms & herb crust.
