The Green Room has the potential to be the perfect little independent neighbourhood restaurant: there’s the pretty decor with that sparkle of something special, the warm atmosphere & the
easy-to-navigate menu that doesn’t try too hard. Homemade pâté & brioche sits alongside crab cakes on the list of starters, to be followed by steamed sea bass with basil & tomato, or
grilled rack of lamb with roast new potatoes & French beans. Then there’s Baileys crème brûlée to wrap things up. Yet while all this sounds good on paper, readers have become increasingly
disappointed with the restaurant, shocked by the ‘appalling attitude’ of the staff & unimpressed by apparently falling standards in the cooking. It’s to be hoped the owners take the feedback on
board & manage to repair The Green Room’s once sterling reputation.
