Square Meal Review of The Creperie ?

Launched by the former head chef from Brighton’s veggie evergreen Food For Friends, this bright little café sits in a prime spot close to the seafront – midway between the town’s two piers. It’s a funky space with kitchen utensils pinned to the walls, shelves of books and folksy knick-knacks, plus colourful metallic lampshades and furniture, bare tables and some groovy artwork adding to the vibe. Sweet crêpes and savoury buckwheat galettes are, of course, the main event, with fillings ranging from peanut butter and strawberry jam to confit duck or spicy Sri Lankan chicken curry, but you can also get various hot and cold wraps, a few salads and some breakfast extras. Locally made ice creams and sorbets from Gelato Gusto add a sweet flourish, while liquid refreshment comes from small-batch coffees, milkshakes, wines and beer. Takeaways too.
