David Carter's charming neighbourhood restaurant has been packing them in for some thirteen years & you'd be well advised to book ahead for a table in the cosy dining room of this converted Victorian House. The short, modern European menu may start with grilled sardines with courgette linguine & rosemary butter, then go on to trio of lamb with a ratatouille of vegetables & savoyarde potatoes, with fresh peach Melba for afters. It can all make for a pleasurable dining experience, especially when paired with something fruity from the intelligently compiled & keenly priced wine list.
