Pepper Tree’s canteen-style seating & hangar-like decor aren’t exactly conducive to a leisurely meal. Besides, the people queuing in the doorway waiting for a table make diners who have
finished feel distinctly uncomfortable. Nevertheless, this remains an excellent refuelling stop for the busy people coming out of the Tube station on their way home from work, or grabbing a bite
before going to the cinema. The menu is a fairly extensive list of Thai & Chinese favourites: usually pretty well-cooked & well-portioned, & delivered quickly. The spices may have been
tempered somewhat for the British market, but the pork dim sum, stir fries & the aptly named Big Tum noodles are still appetising, especially as they’re cheap as chips.
