It’s easy to miss conveyor-belt sushi joint Moshi Moshi, tucked away near the bus stops at Liverpool Street station, but – once inside – the surprisingly roomy interior, complete with huge wooden
‘staves’ arching skywards, offers a “very relaxing ambience”. The restaurant is big on ethical sourcing and sustainability, so expect to see the likes of Loch Duart salmon on the wide-ranging menu.
Nibble on some salted edamame beans to start, before ordering one of the sushi ‘sets’, featuring a dozen or so items served on a traditional geta (wooden platter), or one of the hot dishes –
perhaps Gloucester Old Spot tonkatsu or wild Alaskan salmon teriyaki. Service is “quick and attentive”, and there are lots of discreet booths with “quirky” sand-filled floors too, making this a
perfect spot for a quiet meal away from the commuter chaos below.
