This compact & bijou basement dive is a curious mix of Moroccan chic & chillout den. Once you’ve negotiated the stairs – not easy in the gloom – recline on one of the sofas decked out in
blingy gold trim & browse through the cocktail list, which features spiced mojito, a pickled lemon fix (Grey Goose Citron vodka, lemon juice, white balsamic vinegar & honey), & even a
flambéed Moroccan ‘blazer’. Food is a regulation assortment of North African staples – chicken, beef or vegetable tagines, spicy meatballs, variations on the hoummos theme & suchlike. The mood
is quite cool, with the sounds of drum & bass or ambient chillax flowing through the venue, although the toilets & behind the scenes could do with a wash & brush-up.
