With its waxed walls, domed doorways, tiled floors, cushions and lantern-lit tables, Kazbar’s tongue-in-cheek stab at Moroccan kitsch is suitably souk-like for the inhabitants of east Oxford.
Meanwhile, things take a more serious Spanish turn on the wine front, with picks from Pendes, Rueda and Ribera Del Duero alongside the usual Rioja and Cava – all of which are perfectly suited to a
classic tapas-based menu that includes albóndigas, plenty of chorizo, jamón and an impressive selection of seafood. Beer is similarly Spanish, with Mahou and Estrella Damm topping the list,

drinks, but also the prospect of slow service.
