There's fish in the name & fish on the plate of virtually every one of the customers in this buzzy & attractive restaurant just over Magdalen Bridge. Don't be put off by the portholes &
other paraphernalia of the sea, which some might judge a trifle naff; the cooking of fish here is as sound as their buying policy (Fishers is a supporter of the R.N.L.I & of sustainable
fishing). There’s deep-fried whitebait or Rossmore Irish rock oysters, followed by glorious bouillabaisse, spaghetti with Venus clams in lemon and garlic cream, or baked seabass with roasted fennel
& peppers and herb oil & for those of simple tastes - classic haddock & chips. There’s also a branch in Bristol's Clifton Village.
