Praised for its “bohemian vibe” and “friendly service”, Boho Mexica offers an idiosyncratic take on native Mexican cuisine and ethnic vibes for good-timing Shoreditch trendies and City folk. The
restaurant’s smart, elegant fascia doesn’t give many clues to the riotous fun inside, with pop-art graffiti and Latin beats revving up the punters, but the nosh cooked by chef Tia (‘Aunty’) Patty
is serious, authentic stuff: starters of soft corn tortillas filled with slow-cooked pork and black-bean sauce could lead on to hefty mains such as chilli- and tamarind-marinated chicken or pork
stew in orange and cinnamon sauce – although one reporter found the results “bland”. To drink, take your pick from seven magnificent margaritas, a dozen top-notch Tequilas, Modelo Especial beer or
a clutch of South American wines.
