Shielded from the outside world by six acres of wooded parkland, Bibury Court is a privately owned country mansion of the old school – a mullioned, multi-gabled mansion that can trace its origins
back to 1633, although much of the building was reconfigured in the 1920s. Bibury’s kitchen is now in the hands of James Graham, who trained with Raymond Blanc and made his name at the renowned
Allium in Fairford – so expect food of impeccable provenance with the emphasis firmly on seasonal produce from the region. Formal dinners are served in the panelled Oak Room restaurant (strictly
grown-ups only), while light lunches and Sunday roasts are available in the adjoining Conservatory. You can also indulge in the dreamy prospect of afternoon tea on the terrace by the banks of the
trout-filled river Coln.
