Tucked away on foodie King Street, this new café from the entrepreneur behind a ‘secret’ local supperclub is sure to appeal to students with its lack back-vibe – think two parts pared-down Scandi
mixed with one part retro American diner. Coffee brewed with beans from London cult favourite Caravan should keep
all-night-essayists awake, while tempting treats such as chocolate Guinness cake with cream-cheese icing (all homemade by the professional baker/owner) will keep them going through the day. Early
birds will find healthy porridge on the breakfast menu, and late risers can call in for brunch. The decor is minimal, with wooden floors, white walls, shelves of flour and a flash of colour from
the neon sign; bizarrely, it’s worth checking out the toilets if you’re after culinary inspiration.
