Depending on the occasion a group dinner requires more than booking a table at your local restaurant, and for when you’re looking for somewhere to truly make a statement, there’s no better place than Chatsworth House. This impressive venue has been owned by the Devonshire family for 16 generations, and now the 25 room stately home can be used for a variety of events, from team building days to weddings. It boasts a number of rooms perfect for private dining, no matter whether you’re after something for a large group or something a little more intimate.
Within The Stables, which was designed in 1758 by James Paine, you’ll find function rooms that combine original features with a more contemporary feel, to create an impressive background for any event. Starting at the smaller end of the scale, there is The Cavendish Restaurant with a capacity for 52 dining, or 100 standing, and comes complete with a private bar and access to the courtyard.
The Burlington Room offers a unique space for private dinners or work lunches, with space for 56 dining or 30 in cabaret style, whilst the larger of the options, The Carriage House, is ideal for hosting large events. It includes a raised stage for live music and entertainment, a full PA system, and versatile lighting, and can hold up to 130 guests in dining style seating, or 200 as a standing reception.
If you’re looking to wow your guests, it’s worth noting that The Painted Hall in Chatsworth House is available for welcome drinks of up to 120 guests, and provides the perfect space to kick things off in style. Enjoy a viewing of the North Wing, take in the incredible artwork from the Devonshires Collections, and then head through to dinner to tuck into a menu carefully curated by the chefs.
