Get Into Gear at British Motor Show
So inspired were we by Lewis Hamilton's British Grand Prix win at the weekend, we're looking into hospitality options at this year's British International Motor Show (tel: 020 8233 5854) at ExCeL London. Running from 23 July to 4 August, there's an excellent VIP package which can include tickets to the accompanying music festival.
Book Ahead for BlackRock
How amazing was the Wimbledon Men's Final this year? If it's put you in the mood for more tennis, check out BlackRock Masters at the Royal Albert Hall, from 2-7 December. Hospitality will be lavish, with a private box giving a bird's eye view of such luminaries as McEnroe, Ivanisevic and Cash, along with a Champagne reception, private box and fine dining in the Champions club.
Party in the Paddock with Boyzone
Hospitality tickets are still up for grabs at Newbury next Friday 11 July to watch UB40 performing live after the evening's races; and there are even a few left for Boyzone on Newbury's Ladies Day, Saturday 16 August. If you miss out, look out for other courses holding concerts this summer, such as Sandown Park and Lingfield Park.
Polo on the Beach
Last year saw the successful launch of the first ever polo match played on a UK beach, at Watergate Bay in Cornwall. Spectators go free but if you want to make the most of this glamorous event (sponsored by Veuve Clicquot) on the 9 September, then book a hospitality package (tel: 01637 861239) starting with a champagne and canapé reception at The Hotel from 5.30pm. Guests will be able to enjoy the match from the hotel’s deck, and the package also includes a seafood barbeque on the pool terrace after the trophy presentation, and entry to the post-polo party in the Ocean Room.
IoD Dinner With International Rugby Players

Cowes Week Evening Sail for Charity
Tall ship specialists Red Sky Sailing has teamed up with The Ellen MacArthur Trust to host a hospitality night aboard the J.R.Tolkien on 8 August. Anchoring at Cowes, attendees can watch the Red Arrows display and famous Skandia Cowes Week fireworks while listening to a jazz quartet and enjoying unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks. Packages are £159 per person for groups of six or more.
BBQs at the Hurlingham Club
Relax in the sun at the Hurlingham Club between 25 July and 31 August with a BBQ from £73 per person, to include Pimms, drinks package, BBQ, and use of the Club's terraces overlooking the elegant lawns and the Thames. An 'irresistible dessert' is also promised...
First Time for Hospitality at Airbourne
Tickets have gone on sale for arena-side hospitality at Airbourne (tel: 01323 415442) in sunny Eastbourne: supposedly the biggest seafront airshow in the world. The Aviator Club package offers the best seats from which to enjoy the flying displays, a hospitality tent plus Champagne welcome and three-course lunch with plenty of booze laid on.
Golfing Greats
Ryder Cup hospitality packages are ready and waiting to be booked at Celtic Manor Golf Resort, from 28 September to 3 October 2010; but if these are a little beyond your budget, investigate hospitality packages at July's The European Open (tel: 0800 023557), returning to England for the first time since 1994 at The London Golf Club in Kent. From July 3-6, Colin Montgomerie will defend his title and hospitality is available on all days from £293.
Last Minute Deals on HMS Belfast
If you fancy a free piper thrown in at your next event on the HMS Belfast, then book a summer or Christmas party there (the latter before 30 June) and your guests will be ceremonially piped on board. And for summer parties, every 20th guest goes free, while summer meetings garner a 10% DDR reduction.
Still Time to Book for Air Tattoo
Savour fast jets, international aerobatic display teams and some of aviation’s most iconic historic aircraft, all from the luxury of your private hospitality garden, at the Royal International Air Tattoo from 11-13 July. Bespoke packages are still available at the Gloucestershire event.
Place Your Bets at Great Leighs
The first new British racecourse to open in over 80 years is open for business. Great Leighs (tel: 01245 362412), in Chelmsford, Essex, is one of only three floodlit racecourses in the UK and has 20 private boxes for hospitality, each with its own private terrace. Sodexo Prestige cover catering in the Hospitality Restaurant and the Brasserie, and packages start from £65.
Changing the Guard for Summer
Inneventive is hosting summer parties throughout June and July in the grounds of The Guards Museum, St James' Park. Up to 400 can be covered for a reception, or 150 for a dinner dance, in an elegant marquee with access to a picturesque garden.
Boodles Confirms Andy Murray
The Boodles Challenge has just confirmed British No.1 Andy Murray will be in action at the exclusive event at Stoke Park Club on 17-21 June 2008. Andy will be joined by other members of the world's tennis elite as they fine tune their grasscourt game in the last few days before Wimbledon.
Strictly Gershwin at RAH
