Hospitality appointment at the Ryder Cup

Keith Prowse has announced that it will be the official hospitality provider at the Ryder Cup Europe in 2014. Held at Gleneagles, Scotland, the biennial event will take place from 23-28 September next year.

New menus announced for Wimbledon

Hospitality provider Keith Prowse has revealed the menu that will be served at The Gatsby Club during The Championships, Wimbledon from 24 June-7 July. Hospitality packages start at £495pp.

£45m investment for Cheltenham

A proposed new development at the racecourse will create a state-of-the-art new grandstand with members' facilities, general public viewing areas, private boxes and Royal Box facilities. Completion is scheduled for 2016.

Chelsea FC to freeze prices

The football club has announced that it will not be raising its hospitality package prices for the next season. A match day, starting at £150pp, includes dining, a complimentary bar and premium seating.

Cirque du Soleil to return in 2014

The acrobatic company will be back in London next year, bringing its Quidam show to the Royal Albert Hall from 4 January to 16 February. The venue is offering a 5% discount on all bookings made before 1 May 2013.

Brazil v Russia at Chelsea FC

Entertain corporate clients at the first international match to be held at Stamford Bridge for over 60 years. Future World Cup hosts Brazil (2014) and Russia (2018) will play on 25 March. Hospitality tickets cost £99pp.

Ascot links up with top chef

Tom Kerridge, of the two Michelin-starred Hand & Flowers pub in Marlow, will be bringing his British fare to the Panoramic Restaurant at Ascot’s Royal Meeting (18-22 June). Hospitality packages are available.

Madness at the races

Surrey’s Sandown Park is hosting Madness, who will be singing from the stage at the first of the racecourse’s music nights this summer. The band will perform a 90-minute live set after the last race on Wednesday 17 July 2013. Hospitality packages in a range of private suites start at £105pp +VAT.

Cirque du Soleil

Described as ‘an adrenaline rush’, Cirque du Soleil’s new show Kooza at the Royal Albert Hall, combines spectacular acrobatics with energetic clowning and high-wire antics. VIP tickets start from £195pp and include central Stalls seats, pre-show reception, hot bowl food, desserts during interval, souvenir programme and gift.

Steal a Kiss

Directed by Trevor Nunn and set to arrive in London with a summer’s worth of glowing reviews from Chichester Festival Theatre behind it, Cole Porter’s Kiss Me Kate will be The Old Vic’s first musical under Kevin Spacey’s leadership. The fast-paced show-within-a-show unites the worlds of gun-toting gangsters, sparring actors and Shakespeare’s original characters from The Taming of the Shrew. It's on until 2 March 2013.

Top events for facetime

Keith Prowse has published a report comparing the amount of client face time various sporting events can offer. The information comes as part of a survey, commissioned by the corporate hospitality provider, which confirms that face-to-face meetings are still considered important by industry leaders for developing strong business relationships. Back in the saddle

Tickets are now available for one of the hospitality calendar’s stand-out events. This year’s Royal meeting is on Saturday 22 June. Among a variety of different options for groups, the Bessborough Restaurant – which includes a fashion show during lunch – is up there among our favourites.

Charity comedy gala at the Royal Albert Hall

Rowan Atkinson, Jimmy Carr and Miranda Hart are among the big names confirmed to take part in this year’s comedy gala on 28 November in aid of The Prince’s Trust. All hospitality tickets for the event includes a ‘substantial donation’ to the charity, which supports disadvantaged young people. Prices start from £250pp for a VIP Reception, which includes premium arena seats, a pre-show reception with finger food, hot bowl food, beer, wine and soft drinks, Häagen Dazs ice-cream in the interval, cloakroom facilities and one programme per every two guests.

All-year racing at Ascot

The event we all know is Royal Ascot, of course, but the Berkshire racecourse is actually open all year round. There is a series of meets offering excellent hospitality options all the way to December, including the Christmas Meeting.

England at Twickenham

See England against Australia, Fiji, New Zealand and South Africa in the QBE Internationals at Twickenham as of the 10 November. The Experience Club, starting at £195pp, includes match tickets with free food and drink.

The Aegon Masters at RAH

Molecular picnics from Bubble Food

Summer has officially started so make the most of it with a spot of alfresco entertaining. The molecular-inspired chefs at Bubble Food have created a picnic hamper that will put your soggy sandwiches to shame. Among the offerings will be scallop carpaccio with avocado and red pepper salsa topped with bean blossom or manchego flowers with raspberry dressing, all washed down with Bubble’s own take on Pimm’s (strawberry, mint and cucumber raviolis, topped with lemon foam and orange perfume).

Live music at the races

Jockey Club Venues has seen a surge in demand for its live music events. The group’s programme of acts this summer includes Tom Jones, Madness and Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons. Live music events contributed to 16% of The Jockey Club’s annual 1.9m footfall last year.

Chinawhite at the International Polo

For the twelfth year running, West End nightspot Chinawhite will be setting up shop at the International Polo at Windsor Park on 22 July. Prices for hospitality packages start from £105pp.

Eden does fine-dining

Ethical London caterer Eden has launched a fine dining service in conjunction with its existing ‘express’ and ‘events’ options. The menu features the likes of rabbit terrine, roasted poussin and chilli chocolate tart.

St Moritz Polo on Snow

From 26 to 29 January, the glitterati will descend on St Moritz for the Polo World Cup on Snow. Saturday and Sunday have already sold out but Thursday and Friday are available, so get your skates on.

Latest Packages Released for Ryder Cup

It doesn't come cheap but hospitality at next year's Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor is well worth shelling out for. The stunning Usk River Valley course has been designed specifically with the Ryder Cup in mind and the hospitality pavilions on the 16th and 17th fairways offer tremendous views. The Barclays ATP World Tour Finals makes its debut in London at The O2 Arena from 22-29 November, showcasing the world's best eight singles players and doubles pairings. Star-Studded Hospitality at Berkeley Square Ball

For the first time ever, the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards will be held in Yorkshire, at The Sheffield Arena. We really enjoyed the Goodwood Festival of Speed recently; now we're looking forward to Glorious Goodwood from 28 July to 1 August, combining the glamour of top class racing with the outstanding beauty of the Goodwood racecourse and the famously stylish dress code. Farmfood's British Par 3 Championship at Nailcote

One of Britain and Europe's greatest ever golfers, Tony Jacklin CBE, is returning to play and host the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship this year at Nailcote Hall, from 4-7 August. As well as the official Pro-Am Competition between European Tour & PGA professionals, there are also two Celebrity/Amateur Golf Days, where teams of amateur golfers will enjoy 18 holes with a personality from the world of sport or entertainment. 2009 Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup

One of the most prestigious polo tournaments in the world, the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup runs from 23 June to 19 July at Cowdray Park in West Sussex. Play Golf With The Ashes Players

England and Australia will be locking horns again this year to compete for the Ashes, but between the second and third Tests on 21 July, sticks and balls of another kind will be order of the day. Stoke Park Club is hosting an Ashes Fourball golf day, where Shane Warne, Andrew Strauss, Ricky Ponting and the other players will join hospitality guests to play a round. Hosted by Sir Michael Parkinson, three guests per team have the opportunity to play with an Ashes squad member, before joining the players for a charity auction and dinner in the evening. The Price for one player is £1,200, two players is £2,200 and three players is £3,000.

Book for Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Goodwood Festival of Speed from 3-5 July, is held over three days in the Earl of March’s glorious West Sussex backyard. 25 Mile Menu Launches at Newbury

The clue’s in the name: the seasonal menu supports local produce sourced within 25 miles of Newbury, including buffalo mozzarella from Hampshire’s Laverstoke Park and asparagus from Cobb’s Farm in Hungerford.

Henley Royal Regatta

Henley Royal Regatta, held from 1-5 July, just about sums up ‘The Season’ from a hospitality perspective.
