What could be better on a
warm summer day than drinks in a hidden haven nestled among the capital's skyscrapers? The open-air courtyard at the City of London Club is a bit of a suntrap too, making it the p
erfect place for an after-work barbeque or cocktail
reception. Although the venue itself - a historic private member's club - has a smart feel, the terrace's practical paved floor and whitewashed walls make it feel much more informal. The
second-floor space, which can hold 50 standing, opens out from the patio doors in the Garden Room, which has the painted and mirrored walls and a laid-back mint green colour scheme.
