What is the most important factor when booking a venue for a Christmas party?

Our week in pictures: 3 - 9 March, 2014

A week in the life of the Square Meal team is a mixed bag of eating and drinking, meeting and greeting, dancing, and occasional bad behaviour. Here are some snaps so you can see what we've been up to.

We were challenged by Under the Bridge at Chelsea FC to put together a band and play its main stage. Here are Heather, Damo and Russ mid-performance.

Never one for being modest, Damo stretches his performing muscles on bass during our gig at Under the Bridge.

A triumphant Square Meal band (aka Far Canal) after our first-ever gig.

Heather and Mills attended the 'Strictly SW7' showcase event on Tuesday. We kicked off our evening at The Victoria and Albert Museum with fizz and canapes from caterer Jackson Gilmour.

Venue number two was the Science Museum for our main courses by 'rhubarb' and a certain celebrity meeting to top it off - good old Heston.

The finale on our 'Strictly SW7' evening was the Natural History Museum, where we had 'edible earth' for dessert.

Annica, Caroline and Ben enjoyed a tapas-style dinner in the Terrace restaurant at the National Theatre, where the events team told us about their exciting upcoming developments. Watch this space.

Damo strapped on his helmet and took a segway through the golf course at Celtic Manor in South Wales, where he also checked out the new Hunter Luxury Lodges.

We popped over to the new Vikings exhibition at The British Museum and stumbled across this rather unfortunate gent. The gallery will be available for private views until 22 June.

Pulled pork and deep-fried gherkins in Frankie's Sports Bar & Diner at Chelsea FC. Well-earned hangover food after another busy week.

Russ had quite the view from the Eclipse Pavilion at Sandown Park this weekend. Lovely day for it too.

Heather went along to Crufts at The NEC in Birmingham for the day. These Frenchies were ridiculously cute.
