A very select fish restaurant in South Kensington, & one of my must-go places when I’m in town. The oysters are always fantastic, as is all the fish.

Another excellent Italian restaurant serving the very best traditional dishes using wonderfully fresh, locally sourced ingredients. If you want a quiet conversation, it probably won’t be possible, but the lively atmosphere is always cheery – & they stock the best Pinot Grigio in town.

I love this Italian restaurant because of its wonderfully varied menu: each dish is exquisitely prepared & presented. The service is always impeccable here as well, making it a very popular place; getting a table can be quite difficult – even for me!

Actor Sir Roger Moore first won fame for his role as Simon Templar in The Saint (1962-9). In 1973 he was cast as James Bond in Live and Let Die, going on to play 007 in six subsequent Bond films until retiring from the role in 1985. Since 1991 he has worked as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. His autobiography, My Word Is My Bond, is now available in paperback (Michael O’Mara, £8.99).
