On 21 March, Gaucho restaurant will host The Gaucho International Polo at London’s O2 arena. This year, as well as enjoying two high-octane arena polo matches, guests can expect live music courtesy of Grammy award-winning Argentinian band, Bajofondo.
Now in its second year, Gaucho International Polo aims to celebration Argentina’s sporting and cultural heritage.
Bajofondo, who coined the genre ‘electrotango’, will open the event and play throughout the tournament. During the evening, arena polo fans can watch Scotland take on Ireland in the first match; the second will see England and Argentina go head to head.
As well as polo and performances, guests can taste fine wines and gourmet produce from Argentina. Plus, to add to the tongue-in-cheek debate around whether white jeans are a style statement or a fashion faux pas at the polo, the organisers will donate £1 to the British Forces Foundation for every guest who arrives at the event wearing a pair.
The Gaucho International Polo takes place on 21 March; doors open at 5.30pm (the polo matches start at 7.15pm and 8.30pm). Tickets start at £22.50 and can be bought through the Ticketmaster website.
