Whether you choose a stack of American-style pancakes drizzled with maple syrup, or a delicate French crêpe with a hint of lemon and sugar, treat yourself to a flippin’ marvellous feast and make every day a Pancake Day.

The Botanist (pictured, right)

Every morning at breakfast, The Botanist's pastry chef dishes up delicate crêpes with fillings such as apple and homemade vanilla ice cream, caramelised banana and chocolate with pistachio praline, or classic blueberries with streaky bacon.

The Breakfast Club

A bright and breezy Hoxton fixture serving hearty brunches – including pancakes – from 9am-5pm. Try American pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, ham and eggs, or berries and vanilla ice cream, but get there early to avoid queueing.

The Ritz Restaurant

This fine-dining stalwart famously serves its crêpes Suzette all year round: why save something so delicious for just one day of the year?

The folks at this chocolate-lover's heaven roll out the big guns at weekends, when a selection of Scotch pancakes with toppings including caramel, banana, blueberry and, of course, chocolate, is on the menu. Available Saturdays 9am-1pm and Sundays 10am-1pm.

The Wolseley

This luxurious hotel is famed for its breakfasts: the French pancakes come with bacon, or blueberries and crème fraîche. Enjoy them with a glass of Champagne as you take in the elegant surroundings and spot countless celebrities.
