Caviar back on the menu at Green’s

1311_Greycoat_Lumleys_caviar.jpgGreen’s Restaurant and Oyster Bar in St James’s has put caviar back on the menu, due to increased demand, three years after it was taken off because the credit crunch and a struggling economy had driven down sales.

Green’s, which has served oysters and other seafood since opening in 1982, has re-introduced the luxury ingredient in style, with the launch of a new dedicated caviar, vodka and Champagne bar within the restaurant.

Three types of caviar are available, all served in 30g portions; Royal Baerii is cheapest at £37.50, Russian Oscietra costs £47.50, and Imperial the priciest at £57.50. All three can be bought together for £135.

All the caviars are served with dill blinis, crème fraiche, chopped egg, and beetroot and vodka-cured salmon, made in-house.
