What is the most important factor when booking a venue for a Christmas party?


Another dimension: Nokia Lumia Live


The launch of Nokia's latest smartphone at Altitude 360.

Altitude projections - Altitude Nokia Live projections Altitude_projections_RESIZED.jpgTHE EVENT: Nokia Lumia Live, the launch of the company’s latest smartphone. A light show (above) was followed by an after party in Altitude 360 on the 29th floor and Altitude 360 Black on the 28th.
THE VENUE: Millbank Tower.
THE FOOD: canapés included grilled asparagus; soft-boiled quail’s egg and hollandaise sauce; prawn bakes in aromatic salt, chilli and coconut; macaroons with duck liver pate. Dessert bites included a selection of macaroons, chocolate brownies with chantilly cream and raspberry cheese cake.
TO DRINK: cocktail choices were in Nokia Lumia colours: Pink Cosmopolitans, Blue Lagoons or blue Margaritas and clear English Garden cocktails (gin and elderflower).
THE ENTERTAINMENT: Deadmau5 and DJ Fraggle were performers on a specially built outdoor stage.
SUPPLIERS: event management by Mission PR, catering from Altitude, photo booth from Boothnation, lighting design by Rod Clay, lights from Panalux, outside broadcast by Visions, PA from Orbital Sound, power from Templine, projection by Drive Productions and projectors from Creative Technology.
THE TALKING POINT: Millbank Tower acting as the canvas for a 4D light show. Every window was covered with vinyl as 16 projectors beamed images onto the structure. The show was accompanied by music from producer Deadmau5, who created exclusive remixes for the performance.
ON THE GUEST LIST: Rupert Grint, the cast of Made in Chelsea, Jade Jagger and Robert Sheehan, to name but a few.
