Last year’s BAFTA Television Awards were brilliant. It was my first red-carpet do, so I fussed for hours about what to wear. Sky (my then employer) ended up winning, so the after-party was great fun.

Covering the Cannes film festival was amazing. I interviewed Colin Firth, Rachel Weisz and Mariah Carey but we left the morning Brad and Angelina arrived – no one even knew she was coming.

At the BAFTAs, the goodie bags had a first class upgrade ticket, lots of high-end make-up and a laptop bag – not bad!

My co-presenter Andrew Castle is a real practical joker so he’s a lot of fun at events. The whole GMTV crew actually go out quite a lot – there’s a real family vibe.

I went to Royal Ascot one year with some girlfriends. They put on a great lunch and we ended up winning £400 each on an accumulator bet – not a bad way to round off a lovely day.

The Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa has an amazing setting. I was in the swimming pool and a herd of 15 elephants walked straight past me!

I was a bit of an indie kid and so I like anything by The Killers and Kings of Leon.

La Chèvre d’Or in France has the most breathtaking terrace and the food there is amazing – edible gold leaf everywhere!

BEST Beverage
I love classic Champagne cocktails.

BEST Of The Best
I love Ibiza so if I were to organise the ultimate party, I’d get all my friends together there. We’d have our own beach with a big bonfire and DJs.

Emma Crosby is the newest face at GMTV, where she first appeared on screen with co-host Andrew Castle at the beginning of this year. As a newsreader, journalist and presenter, she has covered a number of high-profile events and stories, even helping Sky News pick up a BAFTA for her reports on the Glasgow Airport terrorist attacks. She is also an eloquent and engaging public speaker, available to book through The London Speaker Bureau, tel: 020 8748 9595
