Skylodge winter pop-up will bring out the lumberjack in Londoners
This winter, pop-up creatives Platterform are launching Skylodge – a temporary rooftop lodge serving warming cocktails and festive food, and the first in a series of pop-ups planned for the coming
Located in Hackney’s The Hothouse – which also plays host to summertime haunt Coppa during the warmer months – the Skylodge chalet will offer a lumberjack-style diner-cum-drinking hole with heated
booths, cosy sofas, a roaring fireplace and a timber bar.
On the menu, guests can expect hearty ‘lumber-snacks’ including smoky maple baby-back ribs, mamma’s pulled pork, plus toast-your-own Rocky Mountain marshmallows for dessert. As for cocktails,
expect innovative hot toddies including buttered rum, and winter-themed blends such as pine-infused martinis. After the meal, sit down to ‘campfire sessions’ ranging from live acoustic performances
from upcoming musical talent to experiential film nights and tongue-in-cheek lumberjack-themed games.
Skylodge opens its doors on Thursday 28 November at 6.30pm. For more information about Skylodge, or to check out the other events Platterform has planned for 2014,
