St James’s is full of old timers (we’re talking about the restaurants...), so Franco’s celebrating its 70th anniversary on Jermyn Street makes it a spring chicken in comparison to some of its neighbours. However, in terms of London-wide longevity, seven decades is good going – so the restaurant is celebrating with a bumper version of its annual rosé wine tasting, with 70 rosés available to taste.
Guests will be given a tasting booklet to hunt down and tick off the rosé wines they want to try, plus the opportunity to buy bottles they like at a reduced rate. Producers will also be on hand to answer questions during the evening. We’re not saying you should taste all 70 wines, but you can give it your best shot.
This event takes place on Tuesday 26 April, from 5-8pm. Tickets cost £31.50 when booked in advance and £40 on the door. To book, call 020 3039 3862 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
