Lord's – The Home of Cricket – has had a big year. Due to the high demand for tickets, the marketing team made the decision to take hospitality sales in house and pulled out all the stops. ‘We want guests to feel at home visiting Lord’s and our staff are best placed to do it,’ said Jon Robinson MCC assistant secretary (marketing and catering). It proved a savvy business decision, as they received more requests for tickets than ever before. The food at Lord’s has a well-earned reputation for quality and the menu from executive chef Tim Harrington has proved no exception. We love the idea of tucking into the seafood buffet in the Marylebone Suite after a hot morning’s play (starting from £499pp), and the saddle of Oxfordshire Elkington lamb with duck egg Béarnaise in the Ashes Club (£699pp) sounds enticing. Off the back of a succesful year, the famous venue has already announced hospitality packages for 2014.

LATEST NEWS
To mark the cricket ground’s bicentennial year, Keith Prowse is offering hospitality packages for three ‘Major Matches’. Prices start at £349pp+ VAT, with the first game taking place on 31 May.
