Kanishka is a contemporary Indian restaurant in Mayfair available from event hire and private dinners. From twice awarded Michelin-starred chef, Atul Kochhar, the restaurant is nestled in the heart of one of London's most fashionable districts. The restaurant's concept hinges on lifting up India's regional dishes, showing a great variety in tastes, flavours and cooking techniques.
From the restaurant's stunning decor to the five-course tasting menu, Kanishka is the perfect place to hold a celebration or event. The team welcomes celebration bookings and are happy to discuss different options depending on your party size.
There are three private spaces available, each one coming with its own unique look and feel. Two of the rooms can cater for 22 people seated, while the third is a little more intimate at 16. If planning a larger soiree, look to take over the entire space which can host 120 in total, or specifically 65 just in the restaurant.
Events bookings are offered a range of set menus to choose from, spanning amethyst, emerald and sapphire which include a starter, main, side and dessert. You might expect dishes such as Lamb Dum Biryani with lamb leg cubes dum-cooked with aromatic basmati rice and spices or Jhinga Mappas with king prawns cooked in coconut, tomatoes and tamarind sauce.
If light bites are more your thing, choose a selection of canapes to go alongside drinks for your guests, with options such as Naga paneer and capsicum skewer, Masala prawn cocktail on a sago cracker or Atul‘s signature chicken khurchan tartlets, berry jam. There's also bowl food, with fillings like butter chicken khichadi with poppadum and pickle, alongside seabass moilee curry with jeera rice.
Of course, no party is complete without drinks and there's plenty to go around on that front. Kanishka specials include Atul's passion fruit martini with vodka, passion fruit chutney, passion fruit juice, lemon juice and sugar syrup.
