London may have its fair share of trendy restaurants, but not all of them come with an optimised events space, perfect for all manner of soirees. Whether you're a maid of honour, in charge of planning an oh-so-cool hen party for her bestie, a chic city couple looking for an industrial spot for a relaxed wedding breakfast or colleague, hoping to impress the team at the next office away day, FARE Restaurant + Bar has got it all.
Just a few minutes from Old Street roundabout, the restaurant has great transport links close to Old Street, Barbican and Farringdon tube stations, with a buzzing position in the heart of East London. The restaurant is spread over two floors, with the ground-floor space playing host to the main all-day eatery, nicknamed The Tap Room. Here, you'll find a glass facade with huge windows which flood the space with light, a ceiling of hanging plants and exposed piping overhead, which totally nails the industrial aesthetic. While this area is available for parties, it can only be taken over when hiring the entire venue (meaning both floors). Although, some good news, here you'll also have access to the charming courtyard and the pizza oven, perfect for sharing-style dining with your guests.
Downstairs in the basement is the main events space; it has a similar look and feel with white walls, metallic accents and plenty of greenery, and is set up with long trestle tables which work for big, feasting dinners. The Wine Room, as it's known, can cater for up to 100 people standing or 70 seated. There's also a semi private bar area which you can use as well as the main space, or on its own for 20 people standing or 16 people seated. If cocktails are your thing, this is a great place to host a masterclass or even wine tasting.
