London's best anniversary party venues for hire

The Orangery at Holland Park sits within the perfect, manicured grounds of Holland Park itself - one of London’s prettiest green spaces. A towering palace of glass and stone, natural light fills the space during the day, and the rest of the venue is fairly blank canvas, so you can set it up however you wish. Outside, The Orangery’s rose garden and outdoor fountains are perfect for photos.

Impossibly stylish and grand, Coya Mayfair is really two distinct spaces when it comes to event hire: downstairs you have the main dining room, complete with beautiful pisco bar, carved wooden wall panels and colourful foliage. Upstairs, Coya’s gold and marble member’s club is also available for exclusive private hire, and celebrating under the glittering chandelier is sure to live long in the memory.

Lula is a little more low-key than others in this list, but the first floor venue space is a beautiful, aesthetically-pleasing spot for a cosy celebration. With room for up to 100 standing guests, this space boasts plenty of natural light thanks to twin skylights, and whitewashed floorboards and lime washed walls give it an inviting, rustic feel.

Whether it’s the cosy Sloane lounge, the skylit Chelsea dining room or the gorgeous Roof Terrace, Chelsea’s famous Sloane Club has a space to suit anniversary parties large and small. The team here are experts in hosting chic, stylish events, so you’re in good hands.

This ethical members’ club is serious about its sustainability credentials, whether it’s the produce used in the Rooftop Restaurant, or the materials used for huge swathes of the building itself. The whole townhouse has been beautifully styled, but we especially love the al fresco terrace on the roof, which is equipped with heating and cosy blankets for the colder months of the year.

If you’re planning something a little more classically stylish, this Grade-II listed Edwardian townhouse in Mayfair definitely fits the bill. Many of the rooms boast views of Hyde Park as well as luxurious detailing, but the Argyll Room and Terrace is made for celebrations - a hidden gem in the heart of London, with a large roof terrace that overlooks the park. The terrace also has a heated marquee for colder days too.

Striking and colourful, The Bloomsbury accommodates all sorts of events but it’s particularly great for celebratory occasions when the bright and cheerful spaces really come into their own. We particularly love the murals, ornate carpeting and crystal chandeliers of the George V Ballroom, which holds up to 250 guests for a big bash.

The Langham is one of those London venues that you just can’t go wrong with, thanks to exceptional staff, a huge array of gorgeous spaces and fantastic food and drink throughout the hotel. The Grade-II listed Grand Ballroom is ideal for a big anniversary celebration, with room for up to 375 guests among its striking renaissance pillars and gold accented walls.

Canopy by Hilton runs a number of smart event spaces out of this slick east London hotel, but the real showstopper is the Florattica Rooftop Bar on the 11th floor. With panoramic views across the City’s many iconic landmarks and a stunning floral installation across the ceiling, this is a surefire venue to impress for a big anniversary celebration.

Once a furniture factory, 100 Barrington has been tastefully renovated into a sprawling events venue, taking up residence under Brixton’s brick railway arches. Minimal design contributes to the industrial-chic charms of this historic site, and with lots of indoor and outdoor space, it’s perfect for blank-canvas celebration events.

Most Londoners have gazed at the giant panoramic windows of Sea Containers on the South Bank from outside, but imagine being inside. The hotel boasts a plethora of large and small spaces for hire, many of which have beautiful views across the Thames. Our favourite spot among many is JOIA Bar, which has jaw dropping views through two-storey panoramic windows, and also boasts a distinctive cocktail menu and aesthetically pleasing art deco styling.

An iconic hotel that has hosted everyone from Churchill to Oscar Wilde, Hotel Cafe Royal has loads of options for events of all shapes and sizes. Depending what sort of anniversary bash you’re planning, you could plump for the regency-style Pompadour ballroom, or the plush Oscar Wilde Lounge, which has its own grand piano. The dead central location is also pretty handy, as Hotel Cafe Royal is just a minute’s walk from Piccadilly Circus.
