The Lightwell is located in the heart of Shoreditch and provides a light and airy space suitable for a variety of Christmas events. It's a blank canvas venue, so you can put your own personal spin on the decor. The main room features a full-length roof skylight, flooding the room with natural light, and can be decked out with seasonal decorations and fairy lights to transform it into a cosy festive scene. Despite being a dry hire venue, there is a dedicated events team on hand in the lead up to your event, to ensure all details are taken care of. The team can also provide a list of trusted suppliers for any additional services, such as flowers, live music, entertainment and more.
Covering a space of over 1,250 sq ft, the main room can be configured in multiple ways, from U-shaped seating to boardroom style, to perfectly suit your event. Whether you’re organising a Christmas company drinks reception or an intimate meal, the space can be adapted to suit your needs. Up to 50 guests can be accommodated seated or standing, and there is the option to hire the adjacent lounge area too, as a welcome space, cloakroom or bar. The venue is kitted out with state-of-the-art AV facilities, a 98-inch TV, a speaker system, adjustable lighting and more, giving you full control over music, lighting and entertainment.
The team are happy to recommend the best local caterers for your event, for everything from dainty canapes and Champagne to a three-course traditional Christmas meal. The venue is licensed to serve alcohol until 9:30pm, but this can be extended if you’re planning a late-night festive bash.
