About us.

ZIMA brings Russian cuisine to Soho, serving traditional Russian dishes with a modern twist. Our cultural townhouse showcases the best of what Russia has to offer in an avant-garde setting. We also run our own picklery, where we ferment all our seasonal vegetables, fruits and vodka nastoykas. It’s no secret that ZIMA has the best priced caviar in London to round up the true Russian experience. Feed your soul not only with food and drinks but also with Russian art and indulge into our curated art collection across the three floors. From folk-art through to Russian avant-garde and contemporary art.

Meet Alexei Zimin

Meet Alexei Zimin, our award winning executive chef. Born in Russia, Alexei began cooking from a very young age and quickly turned his passion for food into his very own philosophy.

Being GQ Russia editor in chief was simply not enough as he took on his food adventure. After mastering his precision at the Cordon Bleu London, he went on to open Moscow’s first chef’s table restaurant named Ragout and founded well acclaimed food magazine Eda. He has also opened a gastronomic fast food chain all over Moscow.

Having travelled and foraged the world for delicious combinations of flavours, it makes it hard to identify his cooking as one style or cuisine. Alexei uses food to explore cultural roots in an innovative and exciting way.
