Set inside a Georgian townhouse opposite Mansion House tube station, this unassuming pub offers a range of hospitality services beyond a good pint at the bar, from private dining to hotel stays. With a host of rooms available for private here, this period pub doubles as a warm and relaxed spot in which to host small to medium-sized wedding parties. Despite the main space only being open from Monday to Friday, the Three Cranes are able to accommodate weekend events if required.
The Grill Room upstairs, usually the main dining area on weekdays, is a bright and open space with plenty of natural light, cool grey walls and dark wooden furniture in keeping with the rustic bistro vibe. Here, parties of up to 20 people (seated) can take a seat in serene surrounds and dine on one of the sample menus, carefully put together by the head chef. There’s also the option to create your own tailor-made menu to ensure your special day is everything you could hope for. Three Cranes aim to create a personalised experience to ensure every occasion is truly special.
Also available for hire upstairs is the purpose-built private dining room which is decorated in keeping with the feel of the pub downstairs. It features navy blue walls to create a slightly more moody, intimate space and holds a maximum of 30 guests seated, or 40 standing. This versatile room would be perfect for a drinks reception or sit-down dinner.
It also offers an extensive drinks menu featuring draught beers, local craft ales and a selection of wines and classic cocktails. Friendly staff are able to help you match your drinks to the menu, if required. Examples of dishes include a twice-baked souffle with Waldorf salad and truffle dressing or skirt steak with chimichurri to start. Mains feature the likes of molasses marinated chicken with grains, or poached brill fillets with coconut rice and moilee sauce, while desserts keep things classic with chocolate fondant.
