Grove House is a grade II listed building set in four aces of stunning grounds, boasting grand Georgian interiors, a beautiful lawn and rose gardens. The central feature of the estate, though, is the great lake which dates back to the 18th century. It's a fantastic spot to take a romantic stroll at the end of a day of celebrations.
Depending on the scale of your ceremony or civil partnership, couples can choose to get married in either The Portrait Room or The Terrace Room. The portrait room holds up to 150 guests and features a grand period fireplace, floor-to-ceiling glass windows and hanging chandeliers. For a smaller affair, The Terrace Room is licensed for up to 60 guests and backs onto a covered terrace that overlooks the gardens – a charming space in which to exchange vows.
There’s also the option to spend the entire day at Grove House, from the wedding breakfast to the ceremony and reception to evening celebrations. Invite up to 150 guests to join you for a special sit-down meal after the ceremony, plus another 50 in the evening for drinks and a boogie. The Terrace Room is transformed to accommodate DJs or a live band, but you can personalise the event as you like, perhaps with a photobooth or hog roast in the garden?
When it comes to the added extras, including the food, flowers and music, Grove House offers a list of trusted suppliers that are all accredited to work on site. It can take a lot of the leg work out of having to source the right people for the job and of course the team are happy to help recommend a suitable supplier for your event.
If you have guests who are travelling a long way for the day, accommodation can be booked in the conference centre just a 5 minute walk from Grove House.
