Lauderdale House in North London is a stunning Grade II listed building situated within the grounds of Highgate’s Waterlow Park, not far from Hampstead Heath. Sorting a beautiful backdrop to your wedding day photos is already taken care of with this fantastic location! Inside, there are several spaces available to hire for wedding ceremonies and receptions for up to 130 guests.
Lauderdale House is licensed to host civil ceremonies and partnerships, providing guests with the option to host the full day here, whether it’s the ceremony, reception or both. Choose between either of the two gallery rooms, both of which offer flexible options to suit your wedding plans and can be hired separately or together. The Lower Gallery/Entrance room is a flexible ground floor space which can be set up as two separate function rooms or opened up into one large reception space. Boasting original Tudor features, this light and airy room opens out through beautiful French windows onto the gardens in Waterlow Park via the picturesque side terrace.
The Long Gallery is on the first floor and has stunning views over the outside space, with easy access to the park via the Tea Lawn Staircase. The period windows, wooden floors and wonderful ceiling details create a truly charming space full of character and atmosphere. A lift ensures this first floor room is accessible to all guests.
The Conservatory, meanwhile, is a bright and modern space that can be hired if you need additional space for your event, perhaps as a cloakroom, children's play area, or a break-away space.
Now for the important bit: food and drink. Lauderdale House works with Pink Food Catering to create bespoke menus for the married couple-to-be. They have wide-ranging experience for various wedding types and sizes, from champagne receptions to sit-down meals or informal buffet spreads. The price of the menu depends on the number of guests and style of the event, while the food can be tweaked to suit dietary requirements and personal preferences. Simply ask!
