Burgh House is a Grade I-listed building steeped in 300 years of fascinating history. With a number of beautiful rooms that pay tribute to the building’s rich heritage, guests are sure to be spellbound by this stunning wedding venue. Better yet, the hardworking team will be on hand to make sure that everything runs smoothly, so that your big day is everything you hoped for. Burgh House is also an arts centre and accredited museum with a growing collection of almost 4,000 different artworks and objects. By choosing to host your special day here, you are not only helping them to keep entry to the house free, but to also continue working within the community.
Burgh House is licensed to hold wedding ceremonies in two of its rooms. For more intimate celebrations, with space for 15 guests, there is no better space than the library. Both charming and elegant in equal measure, the panelled walls and marble fireplace create a very special environment. The bookshelves are full, and the furniture is old, but its quality is timeless. For larger ceremonies of up to 70 guests, the music room is a fantastic place to hold your wedding ceremony, with wood-panelled walls and a baby grand piano, there really is no better setting to say ‘I do’.
Food is provided by their in-house caterers, Leafi, who can do everything from canapés or ‘bowl food’, to scrumptious afternoon teas and carefully curated three-course meals. Locally sourced ingredients are at the heart of Leafi’s menus, and they use the best fresh and delicious ingredients to cater to any dietary requirements. They also offer a fully vegan and vegetarian menu, with an extensive wine list to complement your meal. Burgh House also outsources a number of suppliers who help to make your day just that little bit more wonderful.
