11 of the best crazy golf courses in London

In recent years, the capital has fallen in love with crazy golf. If you’re looking for the best places to play crazy golf in London, our roundup should have what you’re looking for – from family-friendly courses to ones where you can get the drinks in after a game. Happy golfing!

Crazy golf in inner London

If you don’t like to travel too far, these inner London crazy golf courses should be more than enough to entertain you

Swingers, City and West End

What: Crazy golf may conjure up images of shabby venues at the seaside, but Swingers is pure glamour. The West End venue is found in a former department store, while the City sibling is situated right next door to the Gherkin. Head to either location to enjoy Instagrammable interiors, a nine-hole course, and street food from the likes of Patty & Bun and Pizza Pilgrims. There’s a bar too, which means Swingers is strictly for over 18s.
Where:
8 Brown's Buildings, EC3A 8AL; 15 John Prince’s Street, W1G 0AB
How much:
£13 per person

Junkyard Golf, Shoreditch

What: Like most of Shoreditch, Junkyard Golf is purposefully made to look run down, but underneath the grungy surface, it’s a rather well-organised affair. If you swing by here, you’ll find plenty of neon décor, cheesy puns splashed across the walls, and fun cocktails which arrive topped with penny sweets. There are also four nine-hole courses to choose from, including one with a slide and another featuring a hall of mirrors.
Where:
Old Truman Brewery, 91 Brick Lane, Spitalfields, E1 6QL
How much:
From £10.50 per person

Puttshack, White City

What: One of the slicker crazy golf courses in the capital, Puttshack finds its home at mega shopping centre Westfield in White City. Puttshack bills itself as London’s most high-tech golfing experience and for good reason – the balls are all fitted with tracking devices, which means there’s no room for cheating (hooray!). Post-putt, you can fuel up with the likes of stacked burgers and 12-inch stone-baked pizzas.
Where:
Westfield, Ariel Way, W12 7HB
How much:
£12.50 per person

Birdie’s Crazy Golf Club at Roof East, Stratford

What: Only open during the summer season, Birdie’s is a rooftop crazy golf experience that’s not to be missed. Each year, the look of the course gets a refresh with past appearances including an English garden theme and a chic monochrome affair. If you get bored of golfing, you can take part in Roof East’s many other quirky activities, including silent disco workouts, batting cages and a high-tech VR experience.
Where:
Stratford Center, Great Eastern Way, E15 1XE

What: Having set up various sites across the capital in pubs, at outdoor markets and their own venues, Plonk is a fun and quirky place for a spot of mini golf that will release your inner child. To make your way through a glow-in-the-dark course, head to Battersea pub The Four Thieves, while over in London Fields, you’ll find a tiki-inspired course.
