+ High street options have gained in popularity over the last few years, and now one of the UK’s biggest retailers has entered the market. Topshop Bride (0344 243 5544) has five dresses that look way beyond their price tags. Our pick from their modern-looking inaugural collection is this satin tie shoulder dress (£350).

+ One of our favourite wedding dress designers, Charlie Brear (020 7637 4898), is upping sticks to a studio in the Queen’s Park Design District. Her new place is currently showcasing a striking London Collection, which mixes structural designs with floral laces for a contemporary look. We’re very taken with the Nova overdress with its scooped neck and low back. Beautiful.

+ We’re big fans of the whimsical 2018 collection from Mira Zwillinger (+972 3 6919001). Entitled Over the Rainbow, the Tel Aviv fashion house’s latest wedding dresses have a delightfully ethereal feel. We adore the detailing on its Judy dress (pictured right). The accompanying choker doesn’t fail to make an impact either.

+ Cheshire-based designer Emma Beaumont (01565 228050) has teamed up with the Beaufort Hotel to hold appointments in London. ‘We wanted to bring back the traditional experience of making and creating a wedding dress,’ she says. Brides will have use of a private room for fittings with Emma (a minimum of four), working with her on design sketches and even choosing fabric together from nearby Knightsbridge suppliers. ‘We want it to be a real experience.’

Keep your bridesmaids happy

+ Wraparound, multiway dress specialist Twobirds Bridesmaid (020 7836 3222) has launched a range of party outfits. Available in nine colours, the Maya, Zoe, Margaux, Lily, Lucy and Charlie dresses incorporate customisable elements so they can be styled in different ways. We like the billowing sleeves and deep plunge of the Margaux wrap dress (pictured centre), particularly in this pretty sage tone. The team has also put together an on-trend jumpsuit collection.

+ Founded by Rosanna Garden, once a bridal buyer at Monsoon, Motee Maids (07967 170774) launched a customisable bridesmaid range in spring. Brides can put everyone in the same dress or create mix-and-match options from an array of bodice shapes, skirts, colours and embellishments – which together give them no fewer than 308 possible combinations. Where to start?

Accessories we love right now

+ Beautiful bridal headpieces from Nichola Ruby. Her latest Luminosity Collection is a treat, particularly the Aggie (£350), which features a pearlescent leaf crown on a golden wrapped headband.

+ Everything in Emmy London’s (020 7704 0012) Fulham Road showroom. Emmy Scarterfield’s new place is more than just a retail outlet for her bridal shoes and accessories – it’s an experience. Brides can book in for a private appointment to get acquainted with her designs and pair them with their chosen dress.
