That’s right: this summer will see W2 get its biggest outdoor food and drink offering – Pergola Paddington Central.
Opening on 24 May for 19 weeks, the sister venue to the popular White City original will be set over two floors and have space for 850 guests. From the CGIs we’ve seen, expect living walls, wooden decking and suspended light bulbs.
Confirmed food vendors include the likes of Patty & Bun (no explanation needed), Mamalan (dumplings), Decatur (Louisiana style) and Raw Press (for the vegans). Entertainment will also be provided by live musicians and regular DJs.
For small gatherings, deposit-free reservations can be made for groups of four upwards, but we like the sound of the private party day beds. Thirteen or more can take over one, while groups of 24 plus can book two. Worried about the weather? A transparent roof will keep your guests covered if the heavens open.
