We’re earmarking it as this year’s hot summer party destination

Originally opened in 1862, Kew’s Grade-I listed Temperate House has undergone an extensive renovation that has seen thousands of panes of glass replaced, wide paths repaved, ventilation systems repaired, and the central area transformed into a much grander space.

Kews Gardens Temperate House summer party destination reopens 5 May 2018

It will soon be able to host standing receptions of up to 300 guests, and sit-down dinners for up to 270. We’re earmarking it as this year’s hot summer party destination, seeing as it’s filled with 10,000 species of rare and endangered plants from hot climates such as Asia and the Pacific Islands. Listed suppliers will include Party Ingredients for catering, Event Concept for lighting and sound, and Sternberg Clarke for live music.

Venue hire starts from £14,000, and as an added bonus, all proceeds support Kew’s conservation, education and research programmes.
