As part of a wider revamp of the venue’s spaces and menu, Searcys St Pancras will begin hosting champagne masterclasses in its new tasting room from April 2018.
The 12-seat tasting room takes the place of the previous dining space, and features high ceilings and a mounted display of bottles. Two-hour masterclasses can be arranged for groups of six or more for £65pp, and will include a selection of champagne with food pairings.
Other options include a pre-dinner experience (£25pp for groups of eight or more), that will give your guests an introduction to champagne, and a proper sit-down five-course menu with matching English sparkling wines and champagnes (£120pp).
Elsewhere, there’ll be a newly added kitchen bar that overlooks an open kitchen, and so can be used for chef demo events, as well as a refreshed all-day menu that focuses on seasonal British produce.
Matt Thomas, Searcys’ MD, shares, ‘The launch of the Champagne School will allow us to share our wealth of knowledge on champagne and British sparkling wines in more depth, internally as a company, as well as to the consumer. This is the first of many changes that we hope will mark a new era for Searcys.’
