LONDON
The city’s summer festival season promises more than ever in 2017.Book a fine-dining package at Live at Chelsea and you’ll also be front and centre for a headline performance from Ludovico Einaudi. BST Hyde Park has bagged Phil Collins, Green Day and Tom Petty. There’ll be no better place to catch them all than the Terrace, with its covered seating and prime views. Younger crowds should give Lovebox a try – Bubbledogs and Bird will be on hand to keep everyone comfortable. A bit further out, Hampton Court Palace Festival and Kew the Music both have fine lineups of dining and VIP packages.

Outside the M25, Lost Village’s Oak Hotels are catching our eye. Sleeping six or eight, they come with en suites and a 24-hour concierge service. Elsewhere on site, Elizabeth Allen – who recently won a Michelin star at Pidgin – and Typing Room’s Lee Westcott will oversee some Tribal Banquets. But Wilderness is still king of the foodie festivals, with Nuno Mendes and Yotam Ottolenghi set to serve at its ever-popular long tables. Gizzi Erskine rattled pans at Festival No.6 a year ago, and you can count on more household names this time. Out east, Pink Moon put us up at Latitude last year and they’ll see you right there again. Look out for them at Isle of Wight and Download too. Hosted around the towering Lovell Telescope, Bluedot stands out for its space theme and broad range of glamping packages. Finally, a couple of old favourites say goodbye this year, but you can see them both off in style: Cornbury has a pop-up hotel, while Secret Garden Party has tepees and wooden lodges.
