Set in a listed building that used to supply electricity to trams, Tramshed in Shoreditch is, perhaps, the most visually striking in Mark Hix’s portfolio of London restaurant, making it a great
spot for the Christmas bash. The building’s original character remains, while art, including Damien Hirst’s famous ‘Cock ‘n’ Bull’ preserved in formaldehyde, gives the place a memorable identity.
Three spaces are available, including a 12-seater private dining room with its own demonstration kitchen and the 40-capacity Mezzanine. For a standing reception the 100-capacity HIX ART, featuring a rotating exhibitions and long trestle tables, works well. The venue has a live music licence too.
