Cambridge Corn Exchange

About Cambridge Corn Exchange

Originally designed in 1873 by Richard Rowe, the Corn Exchange has more recently been transformed into a concert hall and conference facility. Comprising 476sq m and with meeting capacity for up to 1,450 delegates, the floor of the Main Auditorium can seat 690, while a further 228 spaces are available on tiered removable seating at the rear of the hall. For large conferences, the balcony adds raked seating for 490 delegates while the mezzanine can hold a further 42. There are also three other spaces available for corporate events, including the St John’s Room, which can hold 150 for a reception, the King’s Room, which is suitable for meetings for 40, and the Schering Room, which can accommodate private dinners for up to 60 or exhibitions for 150. The Corn Exchange can be used in conjunction with The Guildhall opposite when a large event demands separate catering facilities.
