Tailor-made for time-pressed, calorie-conscious King’s Road trendies, cute little Mori is built for takeaways and speedy pit-stops – provided you don’t mind ‘eating out of the box’ and paying at
the counter. ‘Healthy Asian eating’ is the group’s mantra, and the result is a two-pronged attack involving ‘surprisingly good’ sushi followed by pots of frozen yoghurt. There are larger plates
such as grilled chicken salad or salmon teriyaki with udon noodles too, but it’s the generous nigiri, ‘crystal’ rice-paper wraps and fro-yo (abundantly topped with anything from pomegranate to Oreo
cookies) that sell it to Chelsea’s size-zero set. Party boxes are a good shout for larger groups, especially when accompanied by a flask of saké or an ice-cold Asahi beer. The bold, graphic
interior is suitably current and cool, though much of Mori’s business involves deliveries well beyond SW3.
