One of my favourite Italian restaurants in London with an authentic trattoria atmosphere
This is my third time visiting Mele e Pere and I have loved it every time. The first, I met friends for drinks and we chatted over olives and focaccia with the lively voices of and conversations of other guests creating a great atmosphere in the background. We sat down stairs, and almost forgot we were in the heart of London - favouring instead the vibe of a true Italian trattoria. The food is beautiful, and although portion sizes aren't huge, the quality of ingredients and beautiful flavours of each plate more than makes up for it. I definitely recommend the carbonara (I always get excited when it is served with an egg yolk), or equally the pizzas are divine. The location, atmosphere, food and service gives you everything you want and need from an Italian restaurant and I have nothing but good things to say.
