Flamegrilled Perfection
I have been to Gaucho many times and I always have a great meal. The steak quality is incomparable, with a comfortable atmosphere and prompt and friendly service. The only thing I would say is stick to steak. The non steak items are ok, but the steak is the star of the show. If you want some great quality meat, treated with care and cooked really well, then Gaucho is the place for you.

Fantastic steak!
There are many great steak restaurants in London, but the steaks in Gaucho are special. Great quality meat where you can actually taste that the cow had a happy life. It is a bit pricey, but you pay for good quality. Delicious sides and even their simple burgers are tastily impressive. The atmosphere is masculine and modern with quick and efficient service. A perfect place for a romantic date or a meal out with your mates.

Gaucho Chancery never fails to impress me. The service was excellent, with the manager personally welcoming guests as they arrived or if not then at their table. The waitress was very knowledgeable regarding the steaks and recommendations were given. The trio of medallions cooked rare was exceptional, so tasty and, together with the chips and savoy cabbage with lardons and cream, made for a wonderful lunch. Would highly recommend it.

Onward service from the Restaurant
Good service good food but the onward service and the last bit of experience was very bad. it was like a mini cab rank outside. Drivers standing outside the restaurant and asking passers by if a cab was needed. We did get a cab the driver said that the Restaurant have a contract with them and get a kick back from it. Driver could not speak proper English, didnt know where he was going very arrogant and rude over charged us to Victoria Station paid a £25 fare so overall the whole night was spoilt for the last experience. We are never going back if we ever did we will never use a mini cab again from the restaurant.

All the food on the menu here (not just the steak) is just great – can't fault it. The wine list is also fantastic. However, it's very expensive for what it is, and when I last visited (2 weeks ago) the service was unattentive and terminally slow. Perhaps, in this climate, they need to start being a little less complacent.

A buzzing atmosphere of people having good food, good wine and great conversations. A decor of black and white cow hide and low lighting. The service was excellent, our waitress could not have been more helpful. The food was wonderful. On a table of 7 we had a nice range of starters, myself with crab cakes which were delicious and perfectly cooked. The mango and onion salad that accompanied it was light and refreshing. My main course comprised of the most beautifully cooked steak I have ever eaten in my life. I went for a 200g medium fillet, I could cut through it like butter and I only needed to chew it about three times before I needed to swallow. I am already looking to rebook in January for a birthday celebration.
