Bones

I'm really disappointed with our visit after having such high hopes. The food was good, my salmon in particular was lovely, but our night just went downhill pretty quickly. I asked for a hug of tap water, it never arrived, my friends ordered two beers, 10 minutes went by so we asked again. We then had to ask for a third time. When the beers turned up there were two instead of three. Some ordered the two course set menu others chose a selection of sharing plates. The order came out wrong, when we queried the waitress she seemed to have no idea what we ordered and there dishes that none of us had asked for. We asked for the food that was missing to be brought out, but only half was, about 15 minutes later. When the bill came not only had we been charged £22 in service but several dishes which we hadn't ordered or not received were still on the receipt (despite the waitress saying that it would be on the house). When we refused to pay for those dishes, rather than try to diffuse the situation, the manager was quite confrontational. After a bit of a heated discussion as he walked away I heard him call us f****** pr***s. I'm pretty sure the whole situation would not have escalated had he not been so obtuse when we were discussing the bill. It was completely unnecessary and ruined our evening. We won't be going back.
